The ship has departed for the South Pacific until she returns to Auckland in Nov 2006.

We are always keen to hear from prospective Mates, engineers, carpenters, cooks, pursers and deckhands that are keen to be considered for the next crew intake from this November.

Selections on crew positions will be crew positions for the coming season are being made NOW.

The skipper is keen to hear from those with tallship experience who are interested in sailing with us.

The ship sails with a crew of 13.
1st and 2nd Mate, Engineer, Bosun, Purser, 2 cooks and deckhands.

Obviously shipwrighting, marine engineering experience, caulking and rigging are key skills for crew on a traditional wooden vessel, with a demanding maintenance schedule such as Soren Larsen. 

But the ship also requires those with good people skills and a positive attitude.

It should be noted that the rewards involved in being crew are not necessarily financial.
