CREW POSITIONS - 2010

The Soren Larsen may have positions available for a carpenter/deckhand and a 2nd cook/deckhand for this NZ summer season from Auckland.

We are always keen to hear from prospective Captains, Mates,
engineers, carpenters, cooks, pursers and deckhands that are keen to be considered for positions in the Soren crew.

Caulkers should apply!

The ship sails with up to a crew of 11-13.
1st and 2nd Mate, Engineer, Bosun, Purser, 2 cooks and deckhands.

Obviously shipwrighting, marine engineering experience, caulking and rigging are key skills for crew on a traditional wooden vessel, with a demanding maintenance schedule such as Soren Larsen.

But the ship also requires those with good people skills and a positive attitude.

It should be noted that the rewards involved in being crew are not entirely financial, but we offer a unique learning experience being a part of the team that keeps this iconic tallship sailing.
